Position Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will provide oversight for all daily creative workshops and programs of the Chambersburg Area Council for the Arts (CFTA).  All functions will be performed within the core values of the CFTA mission to “Inspire-Educate-Create.”  The Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining current workshops and programs, however, will be encouraged to develop new creative experiences for our community.


Create and sustain an office and gallery environment that is inviting and beneficial to our mission
Maintain and staff CFTA Gallery 15 hours per week, currently Tuesdays-Fridays
Manage and maintain inventory or artistic supplies and equipment
Coordinate training, management and retention of volunteers
Assist with fundraising projects and events to include mailings and reporting
Assist the Executive Director in evaluating program efficiencies, effectiveness and making adjustments for future events
Manage events on-site and provide assistance to attendees and staff
Represent the CFTA at community events and functions
Assist with website updates and entries
Maintain Facebook and other social media

Missoula Children’s Theatre
Arts in the Alley
First Fridays
Collectors Choice


Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading and speaking
Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
Manage and complete projects in a timely fashion with little supervision
Preferred 3yrs of experience with office administration
Excellent organizational skills
High level of computer competency, including Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and/or others
Experience with Adobe software and/or website design is a plus
Flexibility to attend occasional morning or evening meetings
Must possess valid PA Driver’s License
Must pass and maintain background checks and Child Abuse Clearances
Reside within 45min of the Borough of Chambersburg


Associates degree preferably in business but will train the right candidate
Education or degree in graphic design or other art forms is a bonus

Ability to work around creative individuals and artists of all ages
