This position will be 30-34 hours per week with Healthy Communities Partnership.  The position will involve providing coordination and planning for Strengthening Families Program (10-14) for about 10 hours per week, as well as providing prevention education in local schools for the other 20-24 hours per week during the school year (mid-August through early June).  There is potential to add additional program work to increase hours to full-time.  Interested applicants should submit resume to Christy Unger at Expected pay rate is $18-$20/hr.

Minimum qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

·         experience in human services or education field

·         experience working with youth and/or families in a variety of ages


Knowledge of:

·         program coordination/planning

·         basic drug and alcohol prevention education

·         child and adolescent development

·         classroom management techniques


Skills in:

·         marketing, promotion, and recruitment of families for programs

·         communication with potential partners and agencies

·         scheduling program locations and dates/times

·         working to coordinate programming, including scheduling and coordination of facilitators, planning meals, communicating with participating families, etc

·         working with and engaging students

·         accessing local resources

·         following curriculum

·         working and partnering with school and community child-serving professionals


Additional responsibilities include:

·         working with schools to schedule education

·         interacting with a variety of ages (K-12) and families

·         teaching an evidence-based curriculum (Too Good For Drugs) in classrooms throughout Franklin County

·         facilitating Strengthening Families Program (10-14) with families and their children ages 10-14

·         assisting in data collection and analysis

·         assisting in program reports

·         provide other programs for HCP as needed
